Digital Christmas market at Älmhult's Handelsplats
On 5 December, the arena at Älmhults handelsplats will broadcast its first digital Christmas market live via Instagram. The goal is to reduce Christmas stress and congestion, and offer its customers a safe way to take part in this year's Christmas market and celebrations.
The digital Christmas market will consist of several different local artisans who exhibit everything from clothes, cheesecakes and jewelry to drinks, knitwear and ceramics. The Christmas market will therefore also be a good way for traders to market their businesses further with the hope that they will survive the tough times of the pandemic.
How the exhibitors will proceed to carry out purchases and deliveries differs slightly. Further information will be available both in the presentation of the exhibitor and during the live broadcast. As the digital Christmas market largely focuses on local craftsmen, several exhibitors will keep the delivery and transport routes down by offering a joint delivery on 20 December.
Before the digital Christmas market, all exhibitors will be presented together with their exhibition time on Älmhults Handelsplats Instagram and Facebook page. To further spread the digital Christmas market, the hashtag # älmhultshandelsplatsdigitalajulmarknad will be used. Under the hashtag, exhibitors can publish their content before the Christmas market and thus give customers a preview.
