Welcome to Linnaeus Råshult! Carl Linnaeus, one of the most important scientists of our time, was born in Råshult´s church warden house in 1707. He eventually became one of Sweden´s bestknown sons. The Linné plant classification system is still used today.
His birthplace is now a culture reserve, where you’ll find a church warden house, lots of gardens, meadows and fields. The surrounding countryside recreates the environment of the 18th century.
Next to the reserve there are a garden café, a local heritage museum and a souvenir shop.
Aside of the culture reserve there are three walking paths.
