Siggaboda - Stensjönäs nature reserve and SnapphanestenenShow map
A nature reserve with a mixture of primeval forest and beech forest. Many large boulders give the area a unique and mythical athmosphere. The most common stone is called Snapphanestenen. This stone is a block from the time of the ice sheet. Under the block is there a small cave an according to the legend has the old danish people "Snapphanar" lived there for long time ago.
Dead or dying trees are plentiful which gives rise to an abundance of rare insects, mosses and fungi. In the reserve there are two walking paths, one of 400 m and one of 2500 m.
